The Best Sleep Tips and Products

Hey everyone! I put a poll on my Instagram and everyone voted for this post. I am super excited about it because I have always had a hard time falling asleep and getting good sleep until recently. I've learned a lot of tips and tricks, as well as obtaining a lot of sleep products. Here's a list of my favorite ones! You can click on the title of each item to check it out.

Blue Light Blocking Glasses

I really can't get over how helpful these glasses are. I don't need prescription glasses, so I got non-prescription lenses, but there are other options if you need prescription lenses. I wear my blue light blocking glasses when the sun goes down. I'm sure you've seen the countless articles about putting away screens for a certain amount of time before you go to bed. However, I'm definitely a night owl, so that has never been realistic for me. The reason those articles say to put away screens long before you go to bed is because they give off blue light, which tricks your brain and makes you feel more awake. When you wear blue light blocking glasses, it has the same effect as putting away your screens. They've been really beneficial to me and my sleep schedule, so I'd highly recommend giving them a try (especially since they're so cheap)!

Weighted Blanket

I'm not exactly sure what it is about weighted blankets that make them so comforting, but it really helps me sleep! I don't have much to say about it since it's just a blanket. It's definitely really helped me to sleep better, though.


Melatonin is a natural hormone that is already in our bodies. Taking a melatonin supplement has really helped me to fall asleep really easily and quickly. You can get them at most drug stores or you can get gummies on Amazon!

My top three sleep products have really changed the sleeping game for me, and I hope you try them out and they help you too! Moving on to the sleep tips, these are things that definitely work for me but make sure to do research for yourself to make sure you're being smart for yourself!

Tip 1

Keep your room cool! I don't know about you, but I don't get to choose the temperature of my house. But, I'm still able to keep my room cool with a fan. I prefer a loud one because I like the white noise it makes, but there are other options if you don't like white noise!

Tip 2

Keep a journal next to your bed! If you've ever had a tough time falling asleep or woken up in the middle because your mind is racing with thoughts, then this tip is for you! I keep a journal and a pen on the shelf next to my bed to write down my nighttime thoughts. It's really helpful, especially if I think of something I want to remember in the morning!

Tip 3

Keep stress and school/work out of your bedroom! If I have something stressful in my room, I'll stay up to a very unreasonable hour getting every last piece of work done. Not only does it make me more stressed, but it ruins my sleep schedule and makes me more stressed and tired the next day. It's definitely not a good habit to get into so I would recommend trying to keep all stress and school/work out of your room!
